  5. I'm pretty sure it's an Italian scooter - it's first ref here in 1961 and on original plate. Its unrestored but still a good looking scooter.Guy wants £2500/3000 and I've bid him £1600 at moment.Ive never owned one before and fancied it for summer 2017 as a local bit of fun

  6. First you need to identify what the actual model is,i would guess series 2,but maybe series 3 ,LI150 along with the 125 version is the most common and least popular of the range (ie cheapest),remember the bike is only original once and if its serviceable leave it as it is.original rusty, dented is the trend at the moment, unless you are going to spend 2/3k restoring it to concours condition.Get the engine and brakes serviced and running well and swap to electronic ignition (its cheap and easy),dont expect any type of performance or brakes, you will soon become accustomed to the art of bump starting.

  7. Emergency plumber (through British Gas insurance) came around 7.45pm and managed to sort the water supply out at least, though the boiling tap isn't working presently. That's a job to sort this morning to see if we can get that replaced/fixed today, which I very much doubt. But at least we have water so we can boil a pan for hot water/drinks etc. which is a bonus.

Ceiling to the bedroom isn't too bad but will need redecorating as the water mark is quite pronounced and the carpet is still wet and just needs to dry out and we can see where we go from there. Kitchen units seem ok but I will need to take a closer look later in the daylight. If they are fecked then it'll be an expensive insurance job. The kitchen re-furb cost me £17k 4 years ago :confuse:

At least we will still be able to have #1 son and family round for Xmas, so it's not too bad I suppose :)

  15. The Three Wise Men arrived to visit the new-born child lying in the manger.

One of the Wise Men was exceptionally tall and bumped his head on the low doorway as he entered the stable.

    "Jesus Christ!" he exclaimed.

Joseph said, "Quick Mary. Write that one down. - anything's better than fucking "Dave"

  17. I was directing a play this morning, and I thought I'd spice it up a bit by adding a 20 minute lesbian shower scene.

Some say that I'm the "Fresh, forward-thinking new, bold thing that the British theatre needs right now".

Other parents say that I ruined the Christmas School Nativity Play.
