Browse around Wells market this morning, very pleasant, finished wrapping presents and just ate a pork sausage meat and black pudding Scottish egg bought at the market, delicious,
Village carol service at 6pm.

 

Went round and gave the £1300 balance to guy on lambretta and cos I'm still on crutches from my foot burns my mate who was an original mod rode it back! I thought he had broken down or stuck it in a ditch? He was 25 mins late back and is begging me to sell it to him!

 

Some of the balance I will treat the girlfriend to her 1st car - takes her test in early January 2017 and should wing it? Told me she would love to be in a Fiat 500!!! I told her I would love to be in Alana De La Garza (US LAW AND ORDER FAME!) but there's zero chance of that!!! Gonna find her an entry level Mini convertible as the prices are on the floor - time of year etc

Then I went to the pool to deserve my Christmas dinner.
1300m later, it was:
Apéritif.
Full Christmas dinner cooked by SWMBO with:
Turkey, Stuffing, Bread sauce, Gravy, Brussels sprouts, Carrots, Roast potatoes.
Accompanied by Châteauneuf du Pape "Clos des Papes" 2001. A magnum. i bought this in about 2005 to replace the astonishing Clos des Papes 1985 which I had for Christmas 2004. It was so remarkable that another magnum was called for. 15 years later, it has not disappointed. Definitely the best bottle I have had in 2016. I shall be buying another for about 2030.

Then cheese: Vacherin fribourgois, Vacherin du Mont d'Or, Brie de Maux.
Followed by local handmade Swiss chocolates and coffee. And whisky.
There was a Christmas pudding forecast, but frankly, we were too stuffed.

I was given a monogrammed napkin ring. Class!
Tomorrow, more of the same (about half the magnum left) with more prezzies. Bring it on.

Been looking on eBay,
rare vintage scooter /lambretta brochure,mods,accessories "GO GAY"

 

Had an enjoyable half hour ride, should have lasted an hour but roads were deserted.
