I managed to find this on sale and it has stood up well. Versaroll Pro PVC Flooring 228 x 610 cm | Costco UK - I have used paddock stands on it but I do use a puck with a side stand. Andy
Sealey Complete Modular Workshop Storage Combination - Oak Finish | Tools Today similar...fill yer boots must have looked at these and other hundreds of times and can't pull the 'buy' string...
I have these: Heavy Duty PVC interlocking floor tiles They are 5mm solid so no probs with stands or jacking.
I agree the stand thing is a worry but for me, the flooring of thick enough quality was around £575 and the paint was £160. I pretty much just decided to see how it wears and then look to out the tiles down when I have more money as it's definitely a better option for insulation! I'm planning on putting some sort of insulate down and then the tiles but this will at least keep the dust sealed in as that was a massive pain! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have seen some heavy duty 8mm thick garage flooring pvc on fleebay, insulation is a big plus point so might look at these also, but comes in at £600 plus the edges so a lot more money.
They are made by a company called Newage. I bought mine from Argos a couple of years back, but I think they have stopped selling them. Costco are a supplier. There are loads of different options and you can buy individual units to fill a space. newage | Search Results | Costco UK
Don't understand why anyone would spend £600 when the foams ones for less than £80 would do....and you could afford to replace as often as you like
Well £600 was too much, so I didn't, but It gets heavy foot traffic and has washing machine on it etc so I wasn't going to buy something cheap and need to replace more often Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
+1 carpet tiles. Did a 6x4.5 m garage for £30 off eBay. Nice and warm and comfy sat in the floor and dropped screws bounce a much shorter distance.
think the biggest problem with painting floors (like any painting) is the prep. Concrete floors should be etched before painting with spirit of salts ( hydrochloric acid) then a decent 2 part urethane should last for many years. have done plant rooms, carparks and warehouses' in the past with no problems.
Paint new cement floors with watered pva glue to sort the dust problem it will also seal the base for paint should you wish, thick large rubber mats for weight lifting gyms can be got cheap and will hold any bike for long times,I have half my garage carpet and the other gym mats,my bike bench is on the carpet area and the mats by the door for wet bikes
I am thinking of putting Amtico down as it lasted 15 years plus in my last house with all my kids traffic and parties I had.
