poor granny - wonder if she'll be forgiven... Great-grandma accidentally prays to Lord of the Rings figurine for years Thursday 5 Jan 2017 2:50 pm (Picture: Gabriela Brandao) A great-grandmother has been accidentally praying to a figure of Elrond, an elf from The Lord of the Rings, after mistaking it for a figurine of Saint Anthony, every day for years. Her relative, Gabriela Brandão, a freelance makeup artist from Florianópolis, Brazil, made the discovery after taking a look at the great-grandmother’s figurine, and realising something wasn’t quite right. Following her gut instinct, Gabriela searched online for the figure – and found one exactly identical to the great-grandmother’s. However, there was only one problem – the figure wasn’t listed under ‘Saint Anthony’, it was in fact listed under ‘Elrond’. Oops. Gabriela posted images of her discovery to Facebook last week.
My sister and I used to earn pocket money retrieving lost golf balls at the weekend. Twentywell was the first part of a new housing development in 1958/59 so as a kid I lived on a building site, great fun . Best thing was the fish and chip shop in the village, best, freshest fish in the world. Andy
I went out in the car for a bit and while refuelling that villages idiot pulled in and started filling his car, I guess he wasn't so bright because the woman on the tannoy went crackers, the moron was smoking, and refused to put it out giving it to his friend instead... Wouldn't have been so bad if it was diesel.
Sold my lovely 899 christened 'Doug the Duc' Really sad to see her go, it's been by far the best bike I've ever owned and more fun than any other I've ever ridden. (Plus it definitely has made me better looking) whilst I'm riding it anyway lol I honestly hope my new steed is up to filling the shoes ! Amazing how attached we get to these machines.. @Daniel Howes
^^^^^Top guy... And today...i brought a bike (my first Ducati). Apparently its name is 'Doug the Duc' which to be honest I'm a little unsure about lol Thanks so much for everything today adam!! TOP MAN and i hope you enjoy your new bike too! @Advikaz

Today has been quite busy doing a lot of technical work on potential orders/contracts. Started at 6.30am and didn't finish till about 6pm. Tomorrow will be easier as I'm out and about, "tossing it off" as my colleagues would no doubt say
My mate is gradually wearing me down over the bloody Lambretta Li 150 I bought a few weeks ago! Cheeky sod wants to give what I gave for it? Gonna tell him I want a monkey profit or never to mention it again? Mind you he doesn't know it's now just freezer bags full of bits - all carefully labelled!!!
Mentioned over dinner I've never seen Lion King, whoops, that's 2 hours of my life I won't get back. [emoji35]
