I had to sit through "Frozen" for girlfriends daughter over Christmas (more than once) Hospital was starting to look like the better option? Then when I suggested Charades- everyone wanted to do some crap I phone version that involves holding a bloody phone on your forehead and tilting it to change subject? I said no bloody way and no bloody phones on Christmas Day!
Putting the decorations away in the attic, I found an old copy of the 1977 Radio Times, (or as its called now, The Sex Offenders Register.)
Went back to work today after 4 weeks off despite still randomly coughing uncontrollably and feeling decidedly second hand. Can see an early finish that's for sure. Andy
I said to my girlfriend this morning, "I'm sorry for treating you really badly recently. How can I make it up to you?" "Well you can take me to the cinema tonight." "Consider it done. I'll even pick you up afterwards."
Top Tip : Remember, use the open end to break the fastener, then the ratchet to loosen. One of my pet hates is seeing people at work yarking a fastener loose with the ratchet spanner. :Nailbiting: Inavriably they come to me saying their spanner is broken and they need a new one.
Had really good meetings today, which was nice. Plus I booked a Ron Haslam day at Donington with @MATT46 (formerly of this parish)
Top tip after a moment of realisation. My action cam has a micro HDMI port meaning I can plug it into hotel TV's and just carry films on an SD card. Dead handy :tonguewink:
Some bloke knocked on my door at 9am this morning and said, "Have you got a dog"..?? I said, "Yes, why"..?? He said, "Is it white, overweight, quite hairy and has a really buck, ugly face"..?? I said, "Yes, why"..?? He said, "I think I've just hit it with my car". "Well it can't be mine", I replied. "Cos mine is in bed, eating toast and watching the Jeremy Kyle Show".
Dropped the Multistrada off for its 5 year belt service first thing this morning. Got a 1200s DVT to take home and I thought an ideal opportunity to write up a comparison. Didn't take me long to realise that the bike had the low seat which for my height made the riding position very uncomfortable. The further I got into the ride, I realised making any comparisons was going to be unfair on the DVT because my Mk1 has been well and truly sorted over the last 5 years. Andy
spent a second full day in my workshop removing the shower and internal walls, painting and making a big up shelf for bike bits. Shed loads of space now. Got anothe day at least to finish though.
