Get yourself a chock for the front wheel @Advikaz . I'm near Richmond if you want to borrow one but I'll need it back within a few days because I'm using them for the dirt bike at the moment.
Just like a pushbike chock. The front wheel locks into it and helps stabilise the bike. You still need the straps but not so many to make it safe.
I've got one of them wheel chicks bolted to the floor in my van These bikes are hard to strap down and now I have no pillion pegs too, which were ideal I put it on the chick and strap the handlebars down
Good purchase, and I'll look forward to hopefully seeing you on track on it this year. I keep looking at them on Autotrader to make into a track bike. My head says not too, but my heart just has a draw towards noisy and red
Where abouts are you ? I have a wheel chock, bar straps and loads of ratchets you're welcome to borrow if you're anywhere near Swindon ?
Is this the wheel chick you speak of? Not too sure I'd own up on here to having her bolted in my van though?! Just a thought.....
Congrats on your awesome bike! What made you decide on 1299 base over the 1299 S? I'm trying to decide between the two. I prefer the looks of the base but would love to have the headlight of the S since I live in the country side and my old hands/fingers would love the clutchless shifts too. / Rex
Thanks! Don't really see the value 'personally' in the S suspension. Each to their own ofcourse. But when pushed just couldn't see 4k's worth in it over the base.
Lovely Purchase hope to see it and yourself at a trackday/meet this year. Be interesting seeing what you do with it as I'm refraining from clicking buy on many things so i don't go bankrupt
