Had some checks at the doctors and then went to Ducati Nottingham to see the new bike and drop the full Termi off for fitting before pick up. Met Mark, Curtis and Luke, nice bunch of guys. They have some lovely bikes in there, especially the Martini rep Pani and Tricolore Pani's. While there, bought this
Fitted the (painfully expensive) cam cover bolts and intake rubbers to the FZR engine, and will drop the steel coolant pipes to the powder coaters on Monday morning. Engine starting to look good. Shooting the fork build and fitment tomorrow (some footage already in the can, so to speak) and next weekend engine meets chassis... [emoji16] I'm a slave to this - last weekend I got to bed at 04:00 after editing and uploading video, then was up at 06:45 to go to the chromers the next morning. I think I actually enjoy burning the candle at both ends, and sometimes light the middle just for fun...[emoji12]
Just out of interest,it's been about 5 years since I last skied, what proportion of skiers/boarders wear helmets these days? I heard in the radio it was about 90%?
There's a lot more awareness of the risks since Michael Schumacher had his accident. Carole never used to but she bought one before heading out to France last week. I also notice people are more aware of where they wear an action camera. Andy
I just had to put this up...my little angel turned 4 months old yesterday, what a little cutie & future Ducati rider.
Crikey. I wouldn't have expected that. I know the last time I skied in n America they were starting to give some offers to helmet wearers but somehow I'd have expected more wanting to ski without. Interesting. Thanks.
Finally cleaned the KTM but also realised it wasn't just the cold causing the rear to constantly break free. Now for what every biker finds a hard decision... just replace the rear to save cost or get two shiny new tyres because spring is here soon (front has plenty of life left, not even borderline) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
In the same situation myself now, and not made any easier by reading an earlier post from you, where you stated you always change both tyres at the same time regardless of wear. I've only replaced tyres as and when they need changing, but now you got me thinking. So what you gonna do?
I've never in all my years purchased just one tyre. Only thing that's making me think about it now is cost. We're skint this month and it will sound better to the wife if it's only £150 rather than £250+. Two brand new tyres, ready for the spring is properly tempting though and my particular riding style is to properly push the front tyre. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks! I've got a new cam cover gasket to go on, as well as a load of fasteners to change. The steel coolant tubes (not fitted in this photo) are being powder coated black on Monday. Hoping to put the engine in next week. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
