Exactly like that here. Got couple thousand maybe on the front scorpion but if I don't use bike much and I replace the rear only that may mean it will be well worn part way in fringe in April if we have that trip. :grimacing:
Then id suggest you stick to your original plan and change both. It makes good sense and gives you peace of mind, particularly at high speed mid corner, and I'm sure if you put it like that your wife will fully understand! Now the next thing is what tyres? I know of your former 1200 multi days which is what I have currently. So what's your choice?
I'm very Pirelli biased so you wouldn't get a good response from me. I always ran SuperCorsas on my sports bikes and they were so good against anything else I tried that I never went anywhere else. Nowadays it seems like tyres have come on so much you can get touring tyres that grip good enough to do track days. I used to get about 2-2.5k out of a tyre and can now double that or more [emoji106] I'm tempted to try those new Metzlers that people are raving about. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Apologies for gate crashing, Metzeler M7RRs. No need to worry what you are going to change, with enthusiasm they both wear out at the same time . Andy
Just confirmed a visit to the 'island' for race week only a couple of days but I'll be watching the Senior from the balcony at the Creg :Snaphappy: - Buzzing
Just been to see my old mate Tel - the guy who pestered the life out of me to sell him my Lambretta Li 150 that I'd only had a few weeks and had partially stripped for a bit of fettling.Anyway,we had a deal and he had it back together in record time ready for the "summer".I said to him "Tel,please stay off it till the summer and the ice disappears cos your wrong side of 60 and those tiny little tyres are prob about the same age and are sunbaked!" He said - "dont worry about me chap I was king of the scooter boys in my day!" - I replied yeah,I remember cos I was king of the rockers on my Tiger cub 200cc with apehangers and reverse cone mega! - but that was nearly 43 years ago Tel! Anyway he looked comfy sitting on his lazy boy with his left leg elevated in what looked like a 1970's ski boot this morning! Yesterday he went out for a quick blast on the scooter (while wife was at work!) and had a low side trapping his foot underneath. Not much damage to scooter or Terry but his son told me when he went to collect dad and scooter a load of school kids told him how funny it was when he fell off at about 15mph!!! Hahaha - I think that hurt him most of all???
"KING" of the mods just messaged me to say that he's not at all worried about the paintwork damage as he didn't like paint scheme much anyway! Course you didn't Tel - that's why you spent 2 days and nights meticulously putting it back together so you could take it all apart again next week and repaint it!!! Hahaha
I have had the most brilliant day snowboarding. On the first lift at 9am and came down the final run at 4.30pm. Conditions are deteriorating as it's been warm all week but we knew where to find the best snow. Plus we found the most bizarre bar ever on the mountain. It was like a knocking shop. I took pics but they really do not do it justice. Google "chez BaBeth", you will be transported to a parallel universe Home tomorrow
Had our builder in today and now my garage has ceiling joists [emoji106] Can't wait to get the bike in and start my true man cave conversion. Lots of inspiring pics in the man/woman cave on here and first thing first... flooring! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I bet my mate £20 today that I could make him speak like a Red Indian. "How?" He replied. Easy money.....
Had an unexpected few hours free this afternoon. Cold and wet outside, really need to paint the breakfast room... so of course I decide to wash, clay, polish and wax the Ducati It was raining again when I finished, so I couldn't take any nice photos with the proper camera
I was in a job interview earlier today. The interviewing manager handed me his laptop and said, "I want you to try and sell this to me", so I put the laptop under my arm, walked out of the building, and went home. Eventually he called my mobile and said, "Bring it back here right now!" I said, "£250 and it's yours." I didn't get the job
Put the front end into the FZR, and upload to YouTube. The video takes longer to do than the job does sometimes.. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Sat patiently on the sofa waiting for a phone call from Grenoble. My playmate is coming home today . Andy
