Is there any way of knowing how many of a certain model has been sold in uk? Model in interested in is streetfighter 1098s Cheers
123 taxed and 34 on SORN is a pretty low percentage remaining from the total of 242 that have been registered?
Mines on the road :Angelic: but might not be this year  I needed a valuation on mine for tax reasons - did a we-buy-any-bike and even they offered me £7,200 - thought there book price would have been lower.
I saw this the other day and was slightly surprised that it was up for £10k http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-Streetfighter-1098S-/302207242423?hash=item465cf490b7:g:4XsAAOSw6n5XwY3- But I've said it for a while, I do think the big engined Fighter S will become a bit of a classic. Especially a good one. Pic opportunity :Snaphappy: Here's mine If you look through the gap in the fence, that's my wheelie bin too for a free bonus.
They are already when I bought mine 15 months ago (1300 miles - £8000, main dealer) there was one up for £12000 with 4500 miles at another dealer the week after! :Wideyed: Think 10 is about right for that one from what I've seen over the last few months.
When I bought mine the dealer said no one seemed to 'get' the streetfighter and Ducati may stop making the 1098. I had no idea how few were actually registered in the UK Love mine !
I had my suspicions you were a bit of a tart. Nice, really nice (except for the jhp clutch cover :Bag. Andy
I've just found this. Looks like an 848 fighter without a steering damper, not an S judging by the forks, but a great advert for having a steering damper. I might just give my Ohlins damper another couple of clicks of resistance. :Wideyed:
They were very expensive Jack and as said above, nobody really "got them". There were 242 sold, there were 764 1098S superbikes sold plus 127 Tricolore S.
Got to say imo one of the nicest naked bikes out there and none with more character that's for sure, Ide luv to get mine softened a bit on suspension but don't want to play around with setting because ide just end up with an ill handling bike
Just make a note of where it is now Jack, you can always put it back. Probably better to get it set up professionally if you are unsure. About £100 should sort it. A friend of mine had his GSXR1000 done in the summer as he was struggling, said it made a lot of difference and increased his confidence.
