hello everyone finally decided im wanting a 748/916 been looking for a couple of months now...theres one in alfs motorcycles west sussex yellow 748... spoke to guy said belts will be changed and service before sale they were last done in 2010 little mileage done on it since then..they know the bike bla bla bla usual patter I get feeling......anyone know the bike or the dealers etc...any info would be helpful just looking for a good regulary serviced no issues with rocker covers etc thanks
Welcome to the mad house that is this forum. Lots of dubious banter and lots of excellent advice and anorak knowledge. That bike looks tidy and pretty original. The dealership has cropped up before but I do not remember a horror story. Thorny issue of letting them as a Kawasaki dealer do the service and get a (potentially basic) 12 month warranty or suggest knocking £600 or £700 off the asking price and get it done yourself at a specialist or approved Ducati workshop. Check valve service was done at 6k mls as that's the expensive one where the rocker wear comes to light.
thanks guys im away at work till 8th feb so nothing will be bought till after then..there a few on ebay will be paitent I guess I have yzf 750 and mt07 at moment havnt really looked at bikes for sale on here yet...nightshift for a week now
