At last something good to come from Brexit. The government is promising everyone 14 weeks paid holiday each year. Embarrassing error in Brexit white paper claims British workers are entitled to 14 weeks holiday | The Independent
Cool, although I had to carry holidays over from last year because I was too busy to take them. I have 7 weeks this year and don't know how I'm going to fit them in. This is disasterous news for me. :Arghh:
I did watch this last night and two things came out, the lie we were told about not wanting an EU army was finally shown as that He said that the EU cannot continue as it is (meaning in it's present form) but he insisted that it needed more integration and not less so the European union can protect itself. My feeling is that despite saying Trump becoming singular and protectionist is wrong, they are doing exactly the same themselves.
You would have to be an absolute imbecile to even have the thought of voting for her What a truly horrendous woman
Can I just check, is this the chap Junker et Al have signed up to be the lead head in Brexit negotiations? They're having a laugh if it is
That just shows their intent or complete misunderstanding of the situation. He's like a shit uncharismatic version of Jurgen Klopp
She will make an excellent leader of the Labour Party. Just what the country needs. Should the post become vacant I wish her every success.
the ostrich buries his head. who'd of thunk it. another good forecast for growth yesterday. thats 6 or 7 years of growth now. whys the national debt doubled? what am i missing here? not on here, i know whats missing on here. just in general, what is it i am missing.
Someone who is unacquainted with ostriches and ostrich behaviour? Good Goat Almighty, finm, how many times do I have to explain this to you? You cannot have truly rich folk without the poor, without serfs and debt. How are you supposed to attract a rich member of the English nobility to take charge of your village and protect you from Viking invasions? Crap at at it. I despair. This could take a while ...
In my continued effort to try and immerse myself in the seemingly wonderful world the Hyper pro EU, you may have guessed by now I'm an avid reader of the Guardian columns. its a love hate relationship i have with the site, almost like a dirty habit. I like to try and understand all sides of an argument, and believe me some of the 'desperate to look superior far left brigade' get in such a state in the comments section its quite something to behold, sincerely you need to try it (just don't donate, the Guardian is one of the worse fear peddlers out there) So this morning Ive stumbled over a couple of articles, we'll start with Mr Potato head: Leavers complain, but they’ve shared the benefits of cheap EU labour | John Harris | Opinion | The Guardian He talks about eastern block low paid workers, in fact he describes them as living the 'zero hours life' Theres talk of the UK Dream, and how an Immigrant from Poland, Hungaria, Lithuania or Bulgaria can one day aspire to work their way up from effectively picking potatoes to management positions. And yet, the entire thing is riddled with hypocrisy, further unfounded fear stories and rumour, then from what i can make out, a 'You'll all suffer when the price of potatoes goes up' mentality. Does it matter that Peterborough the place he's discussing voted over 60% to leave the EU, no it seems he dusts over that and he's not that bothered about those UK nationals who's entire local culture has changed. Does it matter that there seems to be an underlying tone of cheap labour exploitation being written about? No, apparently its ok because we're ruining the dreams of a few by leaving the EU. You have cries of woe from a recruitment firm that specialises in what i can only describe as having a 'go where they'll work for the least amount' mentality Which i personally feel is wrong, but apparently its me who's a right wing facist for wanting to leave, and its perfectly reasonable to completely circumvent the entire UK pool of workers and go straight for the dirt cheap section at the far reaches of 'new europe', you know, the places they expand towards when they need to exploit more cheap labour. Oh, its to better their lives, not ours, I'm sure you all buy in to that Other business owners seemingly written as though they're adverse to (yet not quoted as) being against the idea of a Tier 2 working visa: Quote: tier 2 work visas, which involve formally becoming a “sponsor” approved by the UK Border Agency, a licence costing £536, and the obligation to put adverts in jobcentres for at least 28 days. So lets just look at that, £536 for a license and the terms are that you need to at least offer the job to UK nationals first for 28 days..... the horror of it Mr Guardian, and i guess this could apply to all Get a hair cut, stop peddling bollocks and fear. Try that for a few days and see if the view of the world changes. We, the leavers, are still fine with immigration, i appreciate that may not sell papers, or keep you in a job, but such is life. Controlled, well documented immigration will not only work better for the UK nationals, especially in areas such as Peterborough, but also more likely for those people wishing to come here and work. Admittedly there may well be less positions to fill, as some hopefully will go to British, but those available will probably be slightly better paid. And you know what? If my fucking baked potato goes up in cost by 10-20p ill sleep soundly at night while you'll be out protesting, smashing windows and crying in the streets. Sweet dreams
Oh and don't get me started on this C%%t Campaigners launch fresh Brexit legal challenge over single market | Politics | The Guardian i have no words for the levels of desperation seen here
