I just bought some cheap ones on fleabay, the first ones I got I couldn't get to tighten up properly and they kept moving. These are solid so Should be ok, they were only £13 , I need to get out on it to try them out. I'll take pics and post later
I left my oem mirrors in place and added an Oberon small Streetfighter mirror on the right side. More than £13.00 but still good value. Quality is excellent and works a treat at filling in the blindspot immediately behind. Adds almost no width and is discreet enough not to affect the looks of the bike
Had to buy a 10 ton hydraulic puller off ebay today to get primary gear off crank as normal two legged puller won't do the job
Your choice but bar end mirrors are a long way off your normal riding eyeline. I personally wouldn't want them to be my main mirrors.
Just bought a luggage rack from palmer products to go on the back of the multi and some R&G crash protectors
I rode for a few weeks in the summer with the OEM taped over. Position was fine, just everything being tiny was the problem.
The Streetfighter comes in two sizes. I use my smaller version as an additional check for the blindspot immediately behind. It may be a bit small for a main mirror and the bigger ones are a fair bit dearer
Oil,filter and sump plug washers for the 1098R. I took the gauze strainer out and there is a little gasket under the square cover. This is not shown on the R parts catalogue. When I went to get the oil today I looked with the helpful Lloyd from P&H and spookily, it's not on the 1098S either but it IS on the base 1098. My life Rule no 1 applied: "Trust nobody/nothing (especially Ducati part catalogues)"
