So what have you done today..?

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by figaro, Mar 17, 2012.

  1. today I did nearly a full days work.
on my own as the polish labourer (who is worried about gettin kicked out of the uk) didn't turn up coz he was hung over..
done good on me own though

  2. Rejigged my bike satnav. New phone is waterproof so I can do away with the case. I've gone with a quad lock case and attachment.

Traditionally meant to be mounted on a handlebar but using a longer bolt I've got it on my KTM nav holder that it sits above the clocks.

Very secure system, I could total the bike and myself and the phone would still be on there.

  5. Arrived at disneyland paris with wife & sprogs, full of cold and hacking cough, and to top it off wife receives txt from sister to say their mum has passed away (been very poorly in hospital for weeks).
    Now surrounded by french chavs.

  6. Trip to the hospital to get my throats looked at. Shocked to find they're making me pay for parking like a common car.

Call me spoilt but it's incredibly rare to find somewhere that charges for motorcycles (apart from the rip off west end).

  7. @JH_1986, hope everything goes well in hospital. I'm sat in Nero's in Newbury whilst my car gets an MoT and it's final seevice in the warranty period. Got a black coffee and a bacon and brie panini for breakfast. Got 3 hours to kill so time for some window shopping. Andy

can't wait for the 3rd series

  9. Had an appointment for a scan on my shoulder took me over a hour to get there only to be told the person who does the scans was stuck on the motorway in a jam caused by an accident. Having a coffee then going to polish the bikes

  10. Think yourself lucky that you can't contract Man-Flu @Ducbird :Nailbiting:, It's up there with Ebola & Smallpox and way worse than child birth. :)

  11. Probably an engineered amalgamation of Ebola and smallpox, made by women to give us an idea of childbirth. They got the dosage wrong though and now it's way, way worse.

  15. I felt like I was coming down with something yesterd (again) so planned to work from home today.
Started to feel a bit better at lunch time and sun was out, checked the forecast.
Fitted the new rear brake light switch to the 998 and got it in for a short notice MOT..

Was a bit dubious as I'm new to this area and don't know the garages yet.
It was the 998s first Mot with me. The exhaust is noticeable-ish but not silly and the head light had a small chip
    (does not effect beam).

    Pass> Straight through.

Only regret was, despite the sunshine the roads are still quite crappy.
Put some fresh fuel in and gave it a bit of a run. A pleasant mature chap at the petrol station, was telling me about ridding his Lambretta all round Itally, with 86K miles on in it. He still has, bought it from new. Back home and gave the bike a quick clean up.

Thanks Phil for the local recommendation :)
The garage owner was clearly an enthusiast, recalled you as a decent bloke with the tidy CBR.

  16. Filled the dishwasher with this instead of rinse aid. Considering turning it on and going to pub and leaving phone at home and just playing dumb on return

  18. Ordered Monaco F1 tickets.

I haven't actually watched or followed F1 for a few years. But now the fun bit can start - route planning for the Euro road trip on the bikes! Alps on a Ducati :)
