Sold my last car when I went self-employed a few years ago and couldn't justify keeping it, but I've just treated myself to a Jag (as befits my advancing years). Have to say the engine/gearbox is fookin' glorious: you can bimble around almost silently in Drive mode and then drop a couple of gears on the flappy-paddle things and the beast just takes off... Sounds amazing too - beats the old diesel Citroen ;-)
im having a glass of red and watchin the fin and Loz show. It's a repeat but its still makes me laugh. its cold here though... I like my wine at room temperature but not when the room is like minus 2.. Thinking of micro waving it but that means walkin on the cold floor. could put socks on I guess. On me, not the wine.. Hmmmmm
No - the XK8 was the previous two-seater. This is the "XK" which initially used the same 4.2 V8 from the XK8 but mine is the later version (2009 onwards) which got a brand new 5-litre (variable valve timing and stuff - it's a stonking engine!!). It's a totally different experience to what I'm used to... in a good way. The Citroen diesel did about 50mpg, but that was about all that was good about it. Here's the XK8:
