The fact that I can actually afford the poster bike from my younger years without taking out a second mortgage (until it needs a service at least). Can't say the same about the Lamborghini Countach, Ferrari F40, etc.
Noise. Confirmed last year at the Bristol italian day....italian stuff everywhere but when i rolled through on my hyper (open clutch, sc project race system) heads still turn...gonna be even noisier this year with the K&n's!! And, as Roberano said there's something about older duc's that makes them that bit cooler (which is why im in no hurry to go and buy the latest hyper)! plus mines in the minority with the custom paint job as well...
Failed to send on my desktop pc at work....im rebelling by running linux...which is a pain sometimes...
Wow! Thank is really very good, I've a pic of the original SC hyper on my desktop and that looks a near perfect Rep! Apart that is that the org SC had twin pipes where yours it would appear have 4? Who did the seat tail? All v nice .. well done you, you must be chuffed..
Nah - thats just the bike behind on the other ramp (it was in at Louigi's that day having the slipper clutch fitted). The seat tail is a custome CF job from Italy then resprayed.
It was the single swing arm firstly, then got to know about engines and don't like being a sheep so thought the twin stood out instead of the jap's.... and then termi..... as someone said I will happily slow down and wait for the noise from a full throttle termi or down shift pop coming up to lights. Having bought mine in May I'm just awaiting confirmation on my next large build which all being well will see a 1199S added to the unbuilt garage. (Also considering getting back on the track but she doesn't know that yet) Stu.
Not sure if this is the greatest reason but I found it interesting. Took my new 959 Panigale out yesterday starting to run it in so wasn't interested in going at all fast and cars were pulling over to allow me past!
