Agv k3

  1. Anyone using a AGV K3? If so what is it like as I am looking at a Guy Martin replica but they are only doing it on the K3 (sharp rating 4 stars / GP Tech has 5 stars)

Pretty good safety rating but what about noise and quality??

    Thanks

  2. I had a Rossi rep and it was god awful noisy whistled like a kettle

  3. I had one and it was ok. Good lid for not a lot of money
I now have the GP and it's tonnes better IMO.

  4. I have a K3 good quality lid I dont get the whistling. My only issue is the small was way to small the medium that I have had about a year is now just a tough too big. When I put my old Arai on its such a snug fit. I will be going back to a Arai as some point.. I really do like the look of the AGV though

  5. Me too, just migrated to the SR1. Can't imagine a sports helmet could be quieter really. What I really like about it is that the airflow and noise have been designed to be optimal in a sports position. Very well made.

  6. I have the AGV K3 and have no whistling, an all round good helmet and value for money.

  7. Why not try and get it on the RX-7 shell, it must have been available at some point, there's loads of pictures of it on google.

They can't all have been commissioned just for Guy.

  8. shoei xr1100 for me , bit of a convert now as ive only ever had arai or suomy , i tried the x spirit but found it uncomfortable on the lugs and shark and agv must have been designed for stewie from family guy ............the spec 1r suomy is the best ive ever had (bit noisy) but the xr1100 is something else , build quality 10 , comfort 10 etc etc etc.......shark and agv ive always thought a bit tacky and poorly made , unless your rossi or fog

  9. I was impressed by my XR1100 - big improvement on Arai (visor mechanism, noise) - but I had an issue with it in a sports riding position, which was that the low rear, with its rubber lip, kept snagging on my collar. Shoei market the XR-1100 as a sports-touring helmet (the X-Spirit 2 being the pure sporty one), and I think that's where they've gone wrong - that rear lip makes it closer to a straight touring helmet (hence the absurdity of doing it in Bradley Smith colours...).

See someone else complaining about this @

I therefore migrated from it to a Schubert SR1.
