Bought a 2018 model KTM 450exc today. It should be built in April and arrive in May hopefully. The dealer was not 100% sure when they'd get them. The supermoto Excel wheels were going to take around 5 weeks so I wasn't go to rush to buy the previous model if it's only 1 month before the new model comes out & gives me a little bit more time to find some extra funds. It is having a 6 piston caliper fitted and upgraded master cylinder. I will have a sticky road legal wet tyre on the front and slightly hard wearing rear. Keeping all the enduro bits for some off road fun. Really wasn't sure about the purchase, perhaps it was more parting with my money (that took me a while to accumulate) but it's done now. If the Fireblade isn't ready, it gives me something to ride on the more crappy days.
Took the baby multi back today as its needed for test rides booked over the weekend. Came home on a brand new 1200 enduro, now that's more like it
Went to the HiFi/AV show in the Bristol Marriot.....not really any home cinema stuff in there any more which is a shame so probably the last time ill go....on the plus side my mate bought an RC8r last night so we'll be going to pick that up tomorrow....
We've just been to see Sophie Ellis Bextor at the picturedrome in Holmfirth. I really wasn't expecting much cos she's not really my thing but I have to say she was excellent. Great voice and really good with the audience. And she finished the gig doing a song in the crowd, unplugged and without a mic. She was brilliant.
Currently sitting in maldon Aldsworth in Shrewsbury. Just about pick up rc8r with my mate. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Out last night with a friend I haven't seen for in a long time from Denmark. One massive hangove this morning , so if everyone could keep it down a little it would be really appreciated
Popped out to get some paint samples - roads were full of idiots - 10 meters from my drive a woman had abandoned her car complete with 5 kids inside while she went into the coop - the car was parked blocking 1/2 the side road so I was trapped while she queued with her food shopping The rest of the 5 mile journey was t much better with more Lane swapping than a blind person playing bowls Anyway think I've succeeded in finding a colour to match the gravestones opposite as instructed by my neatly 85 year old mother [emoji3]
Fitted single seat and throttle spacer kit to the 959, Just need some sun now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Cycled to Wisley do.. Lake again and enjoying a milky coffee. The 'police aware' cordoned Clio has gone from merely abandoned/lightly damaged/bumper missing to smashed passenger window, missing battery/wing mirror. The wheels are still on it. Lots of tree clearing evidence after Doris, most of it neatly chopped up, wish I had a wood burner.
+1, although me and mrs were up from 1 to 2am, work call. I've bodged a repair on the fence, 2 broken posts. It's way past making good. Not top of the list to replace. Rain meant I could not get the car washed it's having 4 new tyres on Monday for the MOT. Plan B, fitted the new front wheel in the Fire place, Then, I could improvise to take the rear shock out and swap it. Using axle stands and bar through the swing arm pivot. Had this shock sitting around for a while. It is used, but I paid a premium for it. All went well, except my new wheels, look fine in certain lights but are not a perfect match for colour tone. The RAL code suggested by Honda for powder coat is different to the Paint Code and I suspect the power varies from different suppliers. Not sure my ocdness will live with it, but I need to try these wheels and see how the bike feels. Plenty more to do on this bike. Fit and modify an exhaust, intake, power commander, race seat. All bits I have collected as they came up. I know it's an old Honda but, it's got pictures
