Suzuki katana ...1100, but the flip up light ones are cool. Just sold my S2 350 Kawasaki triple as it didn't get used, but made the most amazing sound.
Search the classics...there is a very nice type 14 Ajs out there right now....:Angelic: I'm reliably informed that the owner needs to make space for an incoming 749r.
This will become a \what classic would you buy' thread I quite fancy an old XT500 for bobbing around town on
RD350LC? Plenty of nice ones about, usable, look cool, still reasonably affordable, easy to maintain, cheap to insure, good residuals.
my 3rd bike was an xt 250.. Can't remember the year... 81 maybe, the last steel tank i believe. my mate bought a spanking new rm125 a few days after I bought the xt. We'd hit jumps at warped speed but for some reason I didn't quite get the air he did! Was a great bike though.
Trying to find the right Katana nowadays is tricky though, although, beautiful machines. Flip up light ones were 750 yes??
Saw a beaut yamagamma a few weeks back, gsxr wheels and forks, Rg frame and arm etc, 350 ypvs motor, should have had it but was a bit shonky cosmetically.
Yup, that's right and they weren't true Katanas anyway. Think that were based on another model but I can't remember which one off the top of my head.
K1 Honda 750 is a good bike. But the Ducati brand seems to be flying high with second hand prices rising steadily, so the 900SS might be a good place to be. Spares seem to be reasonably available too.
I made a purchase of a CX500 Custom, based on a drunken conversation in a pub...thought it would be cool.....I was wrong. White with Candy pink sparkles (think my little pony) and weighed a ton. Sold to the man from Poland for double the money. I purchased it in the dark.
