So after buying a forum members #Advikaz 899 about a month ago, I've have spent just a little bit of money on a few tasty modifications. I think that will do for now (another month or two) before the other half has a heart attack First off I had the termi slip ons fitted with filter and up map at a Ducati dealer, Next was the stomp grips and the classic Ducati corse stickers in silver. Fitted some carbon accessories: these being a rear hugger, chain guard, heel plates, front mudguard, shock guard and now just purchased a heat shield from conquest carbon... On top of that I have fitted some front fork protectors!! And I have some new Rizoma rearsets currently on order. It's been a bit of a busy and expensive month for me...but got to say, I love it!! I haven't ridden many bikes but the feeling I get when I climb on my 899 is out of this world! Massive thanks to Adam too for all the help he's given me over the last month, TOP LAD! Unfortunately the pictures haven't got all the parts fitted on them as I'm currently waiting for a couple of things...
Nice one Danny, bikes looking great Glad it's gone to such a great home and fellow enthusiast! Keep in touch mate
Thanks guys!! Well I'm sure I've got all that to look forward to El toro! For now though I'm quite happy spending my spare money on my bike... I never realised that when you buy a Ducati, you just don't buy the bike, you buy a way of life!! I always used to go to shows, open days at my local Ducati dealership and comment at the people turning up on they're brand new Ducati's with their ducati leathers and ducati helmet out of jealousy! Well I can now happily say I'm one of them ha
Dan, bike looks great mate. How about going for a 7x5 inch number plate. An inexpensive but very effective finisher offer!!
Indeed, this was going to be next months job, along with the dp indicators too thanks for pointing that out though. Do you know of any decent places that make good quality number plates or is it going to be a eBay special?
I'll have a look on eBay for one tonight then. Don't think I personally want a 3D one though And yeah your not wrong...completely and utterly branded
Rear sets are on...BUT if anyone's seen my wanted thread I accidentally broke my brake light switch as it was seized in...DOH!! If anyone has one then please get into contact pretty please.... Anyways, here's a few pics of them on my bike...
Thanks, they're not too bad. Bit more of a pig to fit then I thought they were going to be. Just a couple of allen key bolts that were awkward to get to...on now though!
Bikes looking great. How easy a job was fitting the rearsets? I've been eyeing up the Rizoma's but I've been slightly put off getting any at all from the total ball-ache my last set of Ducabike rear sets were to fit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
