  1. Don't worry, your press will be filled with coverage of your deeds at Twickenham now :D

edit" I see I wasn't the first to note this..

  2. Savages
Was good, it seems like everything I watch at the moment has Mexican drug cartels beheading people but yea, Savages was good.

    Looper
    Fell asleep, twice

    The Sweeney
I was expecting to be let down by this but it was actually very good. They kept the use of 'Slag' and added a bit of 'C*nt' for good measure. That youngster bloke did his best at being a thicko from the streets which I thought was going to ruin it for me but after a few cringes I forgot about it. Only thing it was missing was a Mexican drug cartel beheading someone.

Something from Nothing, The Art of Rap
Doubt it would get much interest here but if you're the type to dismiss Hip Hop music as 'people just talking over shit music' I would urge you to watch it. Legendary Gangsthter rapper with a listhp, Ice T, travels around interviewing artists about their music. The really interesting thin about it is as Ice T is 'one of them' they seem to open up more than if some film maker were interviewing them. Top film.

    The Amazing Spiderman
Hadn't this already been made, boring, fell asleep.

    Men in Black 3
The 3 refers to the amount of times I tried to watch this film but ended up falling asleep

    NY77
A bit like the Art of Rap in that it's a documentary but this might be a bit more down some of youse lots collective streets. It's simply a documentary about New York in 1977.
Features the birth of Hip Hop, discusses the birth of Punk and the New Wave scene, loads of CBGB's stuff, Summer of Sam, blackouts, looting, all in one year. Highly recommended.

    Hooligan
    Fell asleep

    I Am Bruce Lee
Yet another documentary, this time it's Brucey. Loads of knowledgeable and historical figures from the worlds of MMA, Boxing, Movies etc recounting how incredible Brucey was. If you're a die hard fan there probably isn't any footage you haven't seen before but I found it very enjoyable.

    Meeting Evil
I forgotten his name but I usually like films with him in, so I decided to watch this one. It's watchable but didn't blow me away. Someone sells their soul or something, I thought it was trying to come across all Usual Suspecty with a 'was he or wasnt he' angle which didn't quite hit the spot for me. End was rubbish. Samuel L Jackson, that's his name.

    The Three Stooges (2012)
My kids (4 & 7) were in stitches almost all the way through this and for that I love it. Some may say it isn't a scratch on the originals and in reply I would tell them that me kids nuh watch black and white. You know what you're gonna get with this and it doesn't fail to deliver.

  3. No, but it was so good it was worth mentioning twice

  4. Fair do's, the Poms played bloody well ! Best I've seen from them for years, good, positive, attacking rugby. Just wish you'd stop singing that god awful effin' chariot song.

  5. Is that about Iggy Pop? You didn't say.

  6. It's not no, but he does crop up in the NY77 documentary when they're discussing Nu Wave and CBGB's

  7. The other night I was watching Film 2012 on BBC1 and a guest critic presented their list of the top-five film Femme Fatales. I immediately thought of Linda Fiorentino in The Last Seduction. I never normally find common ground on these lists but lo and behold her number one was my first choice!

For anyone who hasn't seen it, it's an effing brilliant film. Try and see it sometime soon - I don't think "lovely Linda" will disappoint. :upyeah:

  8. the impossible tonight superb 8/10 tsunami as experianced by one family very moving !!!

  9. Hoping to see Gangster Squad soon

  10. Tend to watch a lot on sky with the odd trip to cinema, recent good films for me..

In time - bit low budget but the story is quite clever, well a clever concept if nothing else I won't give too much away.

Moneyball - true story, baseball flick but don't let that put you off

Jack Reacher - saw this tonight, best film I've seen in ages thriller, conspiracy theories some action and violence, Tom Cruise just seems to becoming a grittier actor as the years pass.

  11. It's had iffy reviews according to Rotten Tomatoes, but I think I'll go and see it too. I'm not expecting it to be edifying or especially memorable, but quite good entertainment.

  12. If you're bored of the usual Hollywood, gun tottin', mofoing, sausage machine stuff, give life of Pi a shot...:upyeah:

  13. It was a good book.

    • Like Like x 1
  14. oh what a shame

looks like Les Mis Saturday night now

  15. think I might go see Django tonight as Gangster Squad had such a rubbish review

  16. that one does look good, keep seeing it advertised

  17. Watched skyfall the other night. I love bond, but this didn't live up to the hype. Still a good film, but not as good as it could have been.

got stand up guys now, so I'll watch that in the next few days and report back.

  18. My thoughts entirely.

  19. Django - Very good...:upyeah:
