Hello HAs anyone tried the wiring upgrade for the starter which supposed to make the bike start quicker looks like a heavier amp carrying cable. Thanks RB
Hello Mr Bone, it's exige you'll need to speak to. He's probably watching right now and getting ready to pounce!
Had them fitted at cornerspeed last year , made the starting a lot easier,a stronger turn over, well worth the money
Best money I've spent on my 999 was a starter cable kit. Team one up with a good battery and reluctant starting will be a thing of the past. Do it !
I upgraded my 998 many years ago using a yank kit. Made starting much easier, however it didn't really fit despite be designed for the bike. It was more expensive than the Exige version and not as good quality. I've had two (or three?) Exact start Kits for the MTS1200PP and they are fantastic. Great instructions and fit better than the original. Hard to find any fault with them...but I'll think of something..?got it...my back brake still doesn't work.
Yes, I bought one the Yank its too, before Exige started producing his. It does the job, the bike starts up a treat now but it was a lot more money than Exige asks and fitting it was a nightmare. The cable is very thick and really doesn't want to run where it needs to and the battery terminals don't fit anything like neatly either. In contrast, Exige's kits, by all accounts are an exact fit and produce just as good a result.
I have them fitted to all my Ducati's (that need to start) and I like them a lot just need to check my new 1098R has one of mine fitted and not the American kit as it was listed on the spec sheet as having a Cable Kit fitted :Nailbiting:
Fitted exiges kit to multistrada which I was having to bump start been fine since. Fitted fine easy diy job good kit. Have no aligence to exiges apart from the fact it was good quality and did what it said on the tin. Would certainly recommend .
