Bless guy he hasn't got a clue. But Mr Verhofstadt also warned that the European Parliament will have veto powers to reject any deal brokered between the UK and the European Commission on Brexit. Silly guy, Europe has no veto powers, they have the same as us, the simple ability to say yes please or no thank you but we have made it very clear that no thank you is an option we may exert. ?The former prime minister of Belgium said Brexit had been a "tragedy" for people in the UK and EU I wonder if he knows the vote result  ? What I see happening is a fight within the eu council, they have already started in some countries where for "towing the official party line" some are using brexit to bash the eu council in order to get better deals for their own country, so much for unity. Because we have become so obsessed with this in the U.K. we are only seeing what is going on with us. If anyone gets a choice it is worth looking at the media of other member states and how they view brexit I'd recommend it if you have a interest in doing so. I think how the eu deal with is is not so much based on us at all but more how this years european elections in Germany, France and Holland
Imagine if the EU says that Britons can have free access to the EU and the U.K. Government said no to that? It would cost them millions of votes.
No it wouldn't as 1 no one is offering that, it was a suggestion by a die hard europhile and 2 as they keep saying, it's the 4 pillars or nothing at all.

I see the miserable traitor has broken cover, via the BBC website. Fortunately, this cannot be true. The BBC site is full of lies and the treasonous one would surely not go that far in demonstrating her disloyalty to the country. Filthy lying journalists!

Most people are reporting the 27th to avoid the Dutch elections and the celebrations of The Treaty of Rome, the week after.
Agree, The eu is aware whilst both sides are talking tough, we will still be mostly friends afterwards so I'm sure there has been chitter chatter between the eu and the uk to avoid the 60th anniversary. So unless she does it this week, I suspect she will do it around the 30th/31st
listening to R4 there the presenter says the pound rises after sturgions speech, less chance of a hard brexit? in the telegraph also. they wouldn't lie would they? :smileys:
