Had some friends over for a day of bike maintenance (I'm the mechanical one). Oil and filter change on a Speed Triple. Then an oil and filter as well as full airbox replacement with a performance filter, then remap, on a KTM 990 SMT. Both riders happy, meaning they gave mine a deep clean as recompense. Then went out for a quick blast with them, ruined a bit by too much traffic on the fun bits. As much as we're probably seen as annoying, speeding bikers. They're properly annoying doing 37-40mph in all the 60mph sections. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've managed to do bugger all but play on here, watch TV and I even managed a 30 minute sleep. Bliss. This coming week is another matter though
90 miles on the bike with @Mac showing me some local roads. And the dreaded engine lights as flapper stuck...didn't spoil the day tho Thanks to Mac for meeting up and look forward to a few more runs Then home to trim the hedge, measure out the allotment for raised beds and make up some plaques. Haircut and now ready for some food and possibly a beer
Fuck all apart from some overtime this morning..... Grey and drizzling so nothing happening today although I did watch that Louis theroux film My scientology movie.... What a fucked up bunch that lot are. Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
Saw that too. Can't say that online though, they'll send people over to your house to threaten you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Some time ago the jehovas witnesses turned up at 7am in a Saturday morning (I was expecting a delivery and thought it was that)... Told them to Fuck off and apparently they think "you need saving" so they turned up 3 weeks in a row... I think the 3rd Fuck off sealed the deal as they never came again... big day for me. Woke at 4am and couldn't get back to sleep so at about 7 I decided to spring clean my lil flat including the oven, which I've been putting of for ages. in fact I had pretty much decided to not clean it and just buy a new one every few years as it only cost £120.00 but I had some oven cleaner in the cupboard. Was cleaning till about 11 when my sparky mate turned up to get the power in the workshop back on. ( turned out to be the freezer tripping it) then I decided that as I was cleaning the oven and didn't have to buy a new one, I would treat myself to a new bat for the 749, a couple of socket sets and a 2 piece tool cabinet. click and collect from Halfords"superstore in Richmond except its in isleworth and far from large.. In fact I drove past on the way to the address that google told me to go to. Spent half an hour looking for it before looking online again and doubling back. spent an hour in the workshop putting the wheels on and putting tools in. Burnt the packaging along with some other junk, cleaned the wire racks for the oven and have just put a stew in the slow cooker! Im beat...
oh and I went to machine mart coz I saw one in my travels and bought a bike dolly which gets delivered on Tues. Can't wait! I can ride into the workshop, straight onto it, spin the bike and be ready to ride out in the morning with out having to wheel bike out backwards and doing a 10 point turn
having come out a petrol station to find my old 748 lying on its side with most of my just paid for gas missing due to a side stand failure, its not some thing id do!
lol, reminds me of a time I was seeing a German bird. I was at hers for dinner and park my immaculate 900ss on the foot path. a girl friend of hers turned up and after an hour or 2 the conversation got round to my bike, the girl said it was a nice bike and she couldn't believe I parked like that. Like what I asked. Turned out the pavement had opened up under the side stand ( very hot day) and the bike was on the deck. Stupid bitch thought I parked like that and said nothing...
Hey Chiz, When you get the chance let us know how you get on with the bike dolly. It's something I might find useful.
could have got one £20 cheaper online but my bloody PayPal ain't working despite hours on the phn to em. For some reason I cant use my card on eBay either. PITA!
This is the first bike I've done it on as the side stand would hold up a house! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
