Just reminded of John Lennon's answer when someone suggested Ringo Star was the best drummer in the world : "he's not even the best drummer in the Beetles..."
I'm sat at work with a relation of Phil Collins, he was going to a concert this year that Phil had invited all the family to (until he just asked for £125 each off the family) true story :Hilarious: he no go now
It's weird .. I'm at the age where I can hardly remember where I'm supposed to be yet.. back in the day, Tom Sayer and 2112.. wow and the band Neil Piert, Geddy Lee and Alex Liefson just trip of the tongue..
V V lucky to have seen him Nate, Taylor, Chris and Pat at the Ipswich regent on the Skin and Bones tour.. intimate, prob a full house of 800.. was THE best gig I've ever, and will ever see.. seen them at Wembley too and it wasn't a patch on seeing them acoustically .. still can't believe I saw him, Nirvana's very own animal up that close and what a luvly guy too.. apparently on the afternoon of the gig, most of the band including g DG could be seen playing Pitch n putt in Bourne park Ipswich.. Rock and Roll!
Know what your saying. It her drums on Seven Nation Army, I think any of us could have managed that...
Yes glad you said CW as I think him and Larry Mullen Jnr are two who muster one hell of a sound yet with very little effort..
Dave Mattacks has a bit of a laid back personality and seems more like an accountant but loves his drums
