Sad news, what's happened to the bike for it to be sponsoring minor damage if you don't mind me asking? Hope you get it sorted alright and keep it as a stable mate for your next purchase
@Fraggle rock @Ian @Gp80 @greencat Good day in the garage today and bike is well on track to be finished tomorrow morning and cleaned Saturday morning so all looking good for Saturday afternoon Just seem to be missing a couple of fairing Bolts but that's no show stopper, will have to remember to pick some up whilst at Italia Moto and fit them when I get back.
@greencat Was it Barton your based? Fancy meeting up for the ride to Lincoln at 13:00hrs? Forest pines car park any good for you? Or we can always meet at mine if that's more convenient for you? I'm in Burton-upon-Stather.
Booked my bike in for the stalling issue and then decided to go another way home via Branston - Potterhanworth Booths - Bardney - Bucknall towards Horncastle... It was either lack of concentration or road conditions that loose stones/gravel which the highway agency put done when resurface a road... Already got O/S Mirror support, Nose from Holland but ive told the nose should repair and still waiting on indicators to come... Put a deposit on a new brembo RCS front brake lever
Gutted for you mate Still, could have been alot worse looking at your photo and seems you escaped with only a knock to your pride Plasti and metal are easily repaired and replaced! Hope you get it sorted and we see you out and about soon. Ben.
Lincolnshire newbie here, never owned a Ducati, infact not had a bike for a few years just put a deposit on an 858 Evo, super excited! Hopefully see you on the roads
Hi Ben, I'm based not far from Caistor so what about meeting in Caistor market place or at the BP garage in Brigg - depending on the route you want to take to Lincoln? Not the A15 I hope. 13:00 is good. Best get there early looks like parking at Italia could be a problem! Let me know what you want to do. Cheers Chris
Hi Rebel, Sorry to hear about the off. Bad luck, but I hope you're OK. Gravel is my nemesis, hate the stuff, but it seems to be allowed to accumulate in drifts on some roads. That's a nice route back to Horncastle. Hope you get the bike fixed up and back in the saddle soon. Chris
Hi Coffee, Welcome. And congratulations on the 848. Bet you can't wait What were you riding before? If it wasn't a twin you'll notice the difference Post up when you have her and it would be great to meet up sometime. Chris
Welcome, where abouts in Lincolnshire? Keep us posted on you getting the bike and remember no pictures mean it didn't happen. Rules of the forum I'm afraid Hope you can make it to one of our ride outs or meets once you have it Ben
Apologies Chris, seem to recall you telling me that before! You'll soon learn I'm crap with names and locations lol... BP station sounds good, can head to Kirton from there and hang a left to take the old road to Lincoln if you like? Couple of petrol station options on the way in to lincoln that way too See you at 13:00 on Saturday if we don't speak before
Hi guys I'm from Cleethorpes, so will be keeping an eye on things and hoping to be getting along to meet some fellow yellow bellies along the way
This is what I am waiting for It is going to be a long 2 weeks! I had a CBR600RR a few years ago, that was the last one. Cant wait, this will hopefully be in a different league! Im in Alford, between Louth and Skeggy
More more are coming out of the woodwork now... Coffey is the bike coming from Ireland or Scotland, why are you having to wait 2 weeks... that the 848 evo colour I woulda have but it wouldn't be that colour for long...
Lovely looking machine there! You are correct in the fact that it will be a long two weeks wait and that it will be in a different league. Once bitten by a V-Twin you will never look back and question your own sanity and previous judgement having previously settled for IL4's If you had done some reading of here first though you wouldn't have made the schoolboy error of buying a slow model! Everybody knows Red Ducati's are the fastest Hopefully see you at one of our meets or rides out soon
Good to see more newbies coming out the woodwork, only thing is that our Ducati's are going to become common if we're not careful lol...
Common, I hope not. Exclusive, desirable, passionate, individual... There are still plenty of folk to be converted :-D
Me too, think you summed up my feeling for the brand pretty well there There's something about seeing heads turn as you approach a venue and seeing the jap IL4's fade away in to the background as people admire the beauty of a Ducati when parked amongst them. Can be a bit of a pain in the arse at times when leaving though as people stop to listen to the rumble of the V-Twin and dry clutch rattle and you have to manouver through them lol... Still wouldn't change it for the world though, its all part of the experience
