1200 S Shed For My Bike

Discussion in 'Monster' started by JdirectorJ, Mar 25, 2017.

  1. Hello all,

I have a 2014 monster 1200S and I park it in a driveway. I usually cover it with a good cover but I'm looking for a better option.

I'd like a shed like or tent I can simply roll into. It needs to be waterproof, weather proof. I hear the motorcycle tents are good, but I want to see what else is out there.

    Thanks

  2. I used to use a Bike Home cover which was really worth it. Never had a problem and would use again if i needed to.

Ride Italian. Drive German. Kiss French.

  3. whats your budget?

  4. Here's my recent research, though I am ending up getting a 20' 9'x6' (high cube) shiping container.

    Motorbike Storage Garage, 8ft 11" x 7ft 4" Motorcycle Shed - Asgard
7 x 11 Extra Large Secure Metal Garden Shed - Asgard
These two below are complicated to build & potentially remove & require a concrete base.
    10' x 17' (3.07x5.26m) Shed Baron Grandale Utility Metal Garage | Shedstore.co.uk
9ft 10 x 19ft 8 Waltons Pale Eucalyptus Easy Build Apex Metal Garage | Waltons Sheds

If you got the room as my landlord is allowing me, a old/new shipping container can be had for more but serious security improvement over the above listed kit.

  6. going through that nightmare now, so bought the Asgard, then realised I needed planning permission, which I am going through now, not a tough process as the council is very helpful, however need to wait 8 weeks to see if I will get approved. So in the meantime, got a Yanchor 120 with Almax new 22mm Chain and to answer your question, I bought this: Bike Home Motorbike Cover Folding Waterproof Design
for £139, however ground anchor and chain were £500 LOL, still as a temp fix, this should be good enough
