Currently have my 2011 Diavel on Gen 2 pipes ... but may revert back to the Remus....other than that it's standard. It runs fine on the Remus with the baffle in ... with it out cold running is awful Is it worth remapping the Diavel? Pro-Twins say no ...
Absolutely. Having your bike mapped is a must. Get your exhaust/air filter set up how you want it first though as if you change something after its been mapped it'll need to be redone.
If it runs it can be mapped. Sound more like Pro-twins cant do it, or no money in it for them. Try CJS or Nelly at Cornerspeed.
I have ridden both Gen 1 and Gen 2 on standard mapping. Nelly & Italia Moto both recommended the Rexxer remap, so I tried a Gen 1 with the Rexxer remap. IMHO fuelling is smoother & pick up is quicker with the Rexxer mapping, and I now ride a 2011 Gen 1 Diavel with the Rexxer remap. I'm still using the standard pipes, but would be interested in the Remus. Drop me a pm if you want to sell the Remus.
I had my 2011 Gen 1 remapped, it had termi's on with the ecu all fitted by ducati, I got another 9BHP just by taking the db killers out, yep I did not believe it either until I saw the dyno runs of before and after. I now have three ecu modes, stock tune, a half tune and a 3/4 tune for when i want to go a bit faster, a full tune would be too much for how I use this bike. i had cc put on as well and a QS is an option. I'd say yes get it done if only because they can sort out the low speed running which is poor on the stock tune.
Fucking hell....a "stock tune" I must have a problem....my rsv4 has 3 different versions of race mode....replace the wet and road with 3 race mapping....just 3 levels of engine braking.... [emoji1] Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
CJS do it and if you have ever had a full remap you will understand why it needs to be done whatever the set up of the bike is, it will transform it Have a look through his web site, includes prices. A full set up takes a full day and it cannot be rushed CJS RACING Motorcycle Dyno Tuning Ducati & Superbikes Bristol ECU Custom Mapping
Thanks but Bristol is a little too far from Brighton ... That said , thanks for the pricing details etc
I used X Bikes, they collect and drop off, adds to the cost but they usually sort a cost share with another customer. I asked in Motorapido a while back, they would not do a full dyno tune, all they wanted to do was update the maps and files. You could try Dynotech in tadley, but i think they would only do Power Commander and i wanted tuneboy for the CC and QS at a later date.
The remapping made a huge difference to my Diavel First I went with a std tune via Openflash - it was good , I tested on a dyno and was happy it was safe and not too rich or lean - huge improvement over stock , smooth I then switched to Tuneboy for the QS and had a custom tune at X-Bikes - highly rated
Hi. I was thinking about getting my 2012 Carbon remaped but hope to find someone not to far from Oxfordshire to do it. I'm running a Remus on mine with no baffles and she runs fine, a bit loud but hey loud pipes save lives.
Eddie did you ever get your Diavel remaped ? I know this thread was a while ago but I have a 2012 Diavel with the Remus end can, like you said it runs well but would like to know if there are any worth while gain's as Moto Rapedo said I would be wasting my . Cheers Paulo61

Hi. As yet no still in standard tune. Looking at it more these tuneboys seem to be rated a lot. I want to get it done as I am now finding I seem to have a flat spot around 3000 rpm.
