My guess would be that there are several orders of magnitude between the two. I may have mentioned it on here before but my brother in law took a ride in a Jet Provost in Australia, one of two owned by the ex RAF guy running the show, a few weeks later on a similar flight a wing came off killing both the passenger and the pilot.
