1200 DVT Fogging Headlights.

  1. I've been sending emails and pictures in for ages. Yesterday I got an email saying the problem was being addressed in the next week or two.
They seemed more keen on selling me another bike tbh. I've only had this six months from new and if this shit happens so soon and this is standard treatment, buying another Ducati is the last thing I'd be doing.
Ffs they test your patience sometimes, well, they take the piss I don't know why we put up with it.

Must say I'm looking forward to Connemara on it tomorrow though :sunglasses:

  2. Going of on a Tangent here... I know why we put up with it Yoozy....it's cos when the bike is working it's a flippin great bike. I'm a little jaded too from my Ducati experience.
My standard DVT mutley has had
Broken pannier lug - never used them since.
Dash problems time/odo kept resetting -updates
Front mudguard sorted myself - back part comes loose
    Fuelling sensor recall
    Sidestand recall
    Exhaust end can valve failure
    Foggy headlights
Last sunday it stranded me for the first time when the hands free system (steering lock) failed. Luckily it was a nice day in a nice town and got recovered by a nice local garage. My local ducati dealers also we really good (J&L in Carlisle) and had it storted in two days.

Now it's fixed again I love it but it's pure love hate. If only the Japanese manfacturers made a vee twin or something that interesting.....KTM possibly Aprilia definately but both pricey and not without there issues and lack of after sales care.

  3. Oh yeah, it's a magnificent bike. A 'proper' bike. If they told me to fuck off I'd sulk like a little girl for a bit, but I doubt I'd get rid.

  4. Btw, Ktm or Aprilia don't make anything anymore to match the Mutley in my opinion. I've had every Ape V2, a V4 Tuono and been on every V2 Ktm, (owned an Smt and a Superduke GT), all decent bikes, but only the Smt can compare imho. Its a shame they never carried that on. I still get teery eyed over my Smt

  6. I've not seen that in the manual. My lights are fogged pretty much all the time except if its been in the shed for a few days. Soon as I hit cold or wet, fogsville.
I've got to say the service from Ducati Manchester has been disgusting. Pretty surprised as they've always been sound enough, especially when spending! But the way they are ignoring this is ridiculous. I'm sick of sending pictures in to one bloke, then another apology, send them in again. I certainly won't be buying a bike off them again. First time I've needed them and I've been totally fobbed off.
Anyroads I'm sick of moaning about, they obviously don't give a shite so fuck em!
