if it's 'DTC' rather than 'TC' perhaps they mean they have factored the different rolling diameters into the software using known front and rear tyre profiles, which would certainly be consistent with their advice not to use non oem rubber above level 3... or that the front and rear wheels maintain relative speed at a rate well within their tolerances as you tip over. I have no idea if this is correct.
I'd imagine as long as front and rear profiles match (i.e. Not mix/match tyres) the relative slip speed should be in the same ballpark?
Yes, that's what I take it to mean too. It probably isn't helping that I have mix & match on my bike! But it also should mean that a non oem set wouldn't cause a problem.
