Dear all, I just got myself a 959 Panigale today, and I was wondering: what do you guys use to mount your phone in a waterproof case? I'd like to use it as GPS, on the fork stem. What measurements did you go for? Also, any suggestion/advice about brands? Thank you so much!! Stef
Hi - Like a few on here I got a Telferizer mount: The Telferizer Custom Motorcycle RAM mounts for GPS Systems ...and then a RAM double socket short arm adapter to whatever phone mount you choose. Nice and low profile, great position just below the dash, and you can remove it all really quickly (leaving only the telferizer). Really please with it. Hope that helps
Thank you very much for your answer Stuart! Forgive my ignorance, I don't understand how to link the ball with the arm. Also, I saw some waterproof cases that can be clamped onto an arm, would it work with the RAM system too? Sorry for the stupid questions!!!
Hi - I probably didn't explain that very well did I? So the link to the Telferizer is a little 1" ball that you can mount in between your bars. Its small, neat and easy it install with no tools needed. Then the RAM double socket short arm adapter connects to that, and then you can get any mount of your choice that attaches to a 1" ball. I am sure there are other adapters available but this is the one I chose. It give you quite a bit of choice on the positioning, but you can get it nice and low, which is what I wanted.
