Hi, Ducati 916S for sale which I have inherited so excuse the poor knowledge. Good condition and MOT done last year but never got round to advertising. Been in the garage for the best part of 10 years but starts first time and sounds good. Last MOT done in 2007 according to the test certificate Good points - low mileage (8569), new battery and different colour scheme (not red). Bad points - Colour scheme (also a bad point I've been told as not red), Underbelly fairing has seen better days (see picture), rear seat cowell also seen better days. I know e-bay is not always a good place to look at price but between that and the advice of the mechanic I have come to a price that I think fair. If not, I am open to sensible offers. £3,250 ONO Bike is in Bradford, West Yorkshire. If you would like a look, send a message over and I can arrange. Thanks, Clem
Hey Is it a SPS? I'd contact Ducati if I was you with engine and frame numbers to check what you have. CR
No, SPS has an ignition pickup sensor in the otherwise 'blank' hole just in front of the clutch slave cylinder, plus Ohlins rear etc.
I dont think it was the issue number as its across 2 surfaces. Possibly a datatag/alphdot sticker. Not in the kind of condition i would expect for 5 grand.
There was a stick on clock there. I checked with Ducati already. What sort of price would you suggest?
A new member of our society and a subscriber already! Just need to get our most postie of members to follow suit.
I think i could get into Ducati's, just not the ones I've got. Saw some nice ones at the dealership! First thing is to get my full license (booked in next month)
It's worth what your asking if it's an SPS even with a lot of re commissioning and bodywork to do. It is worth emailing Ducati with the frame and engine number to confirm. [email protected] If mint and all correct it would be circa £10-£12k
Hi Exige, I contacted Ducati last year. Attached is response. Moto 916 Bip 1998 which i presume is standard. Also no SPS plaque
OK, so if a BIP it's a bit pricey I would think You didn't give the engine number to confirm it left the factory with the frane?
Nope, it took about 1month to get that response so i didn't bother. I'll fire off an e-mail when i check the engine number. Suggested price?
Usually takes less than 24 hours (unless you message at the start of August as they close for a month) worth doing now. Either stick it on EBay and hope to get people bidding, but don't cause any confusion and state what Ducati say, or take a best offer on here - plenty would want a project so consider what your highest offer is after a few days and decide. My stab would be £3500 to £4000, but I personally wouldn't want it at that. Hope that helps.
Thanks Elsie..... just thanks!:Arghh: You over inflate the price an then say, but I wouldn't pay that. ...:Finger:
yeah.. Your an idiot... I would say, someone that only sees in black and white and might be in the market, May go as high as 2.5k... if only there was someone like that in these parts...
