that has brought my memories of China flooding back... My brothers live in Dalian which is a sea side city. One of their delicacies is fly blown , sun dried squid on a stick... I do not miss the food there at all.. It was rank.
My arms and legs are killing me. I was at an Oriental disco last night and it was all going great until the Chinese version of YMCA came on
We've just come back from a holiday in Spain. My wife didn't really enjoy it, because everyone could speak English and all the food was like the stuff we eat back at home. She said, "Next time, I want to go somewhere where they eat weird shit and you can't understand a word they say." So I've just booked us a fortnight in Aberdeen.
one of the few really good places I found to eat and drink in Dalian was a german place call lenbach restaurant and bar. I noticed in the back of the menu it had a list of maybe another 10 branches around China. long shot but worth a google... D'oh!
I always throw myself into the food when away and you get some surprises. I do draw the line at purified sea slug I had in Japan. :Vomit: (before you ask, I didn't order it, I was asked to try it by the locals who were wolfing it down) Multiply rank by 10 for an idea. Never again.
