St4s Dzus Fastner Size For Fairing

  1. Hi there, my first post to the forum has probably been asked many times before, but I dont seem to have found the definitive answer. Does anybody know what is the correct size Dzus fasteners, to use in converting from the OEM well fasteners. Its the length of the fastener, I'm struggling with. I have been sent four different Dzus fasteners, size, D8-316-410 / 411 / 412. All are too short. Then a D3 type 17mm, which doesn't fit the fairing holes, so hard to tell if long enough to reach the female receptacle clip? So any advice on this subject, would be much appreciated, if known. Thanks.

  2. When I converted mine I'm sure I used 19mm fastners. The catch can be adjusted by adding plastic washers below the fastener.

  3. Thanks Derek. I'll try a 19mm Dzus D8 version, if available? The D3 versions are different. the have a wider lip on the shaft, which is too wide for the fairing hole. I dont fancy widening each hole to accommodate.
