1299 Panigale Rearsets

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by AndyF, Apr 25, 2017.

  1. Hi, does anyone have any experience or views on rearsets for the 1299 Panigale? Ducati are really expensive and I was thinking Gilles. Any thoughts guys?

  2. Have them on my 998. Quality kit.

  3. Thanks Esbee, were they easy to fit, clear instructions etc.?

  4. Simple to fit and adjust to suit rider requirements on 998. Recommended

  5. The ones above are the VCR ones. I've actually gone for the cheaper (by around £200, I think) FXR version. They have set peg positions rather than the infinite adjustability of the VCR, but I can live with that for the saving they give.

(They don't come with the heel guards. You can use the standard ones, or pick up some carbon ones for £50)

Both types here withbetter pictures than mine!! Gilles Controls | Calsport

  6. Those are the ones I would get if they were standard height or even lowered Would be better! Gilles are usually good stuff.

Did you notch your fairing to access swingarm pivot (for abba stand etc?)

My fairing doesn't have that half circle

  7. I mounted Rizomas, and they use the stock brake switch.

  8. No. That is just how it is on the 1299.

  9. Was your 1299 second hand ?, as far as i am aware no Panigale has this cut out,my guess is the previous owner put the cut out in for some type of stand.

  10. Well, mine does, so now you are aware of one! ;)
If they have, they have done a very good job because it isn't noticeably a cut. However, as the first owner was Ducati UK, anything is possible.

Probably for ABBA stand as I have one for the 1199 and it's a pain as you have to remove fairing screws and tape up the edges as otherwise it will rub and damage the fairing.....not a bad idea

  12. Oh and back to the original post, have a look at CNC Racing rearsets on the design corse site... expensive but seriously sexy and very very good quality...

  13. Yeh looked on Design Corse site, as you say, very sexy kit. I think I'm worth it, bank manager is not so sure.
My fairing does not have the notch but I guess that is not an issue regarding fitting rearsets?
Thanks for the feedback guys, it's always good to get firsthand opinions.

  14. CNC Racing...

  15. Mmmmmm. They do look good. Might have to check out the cost and then find a way to bamboozle the wife!

  16. Don't forget to factor in your forum discount!

  17. Forum discount?? (Or is that a line for the wife?)

  18. think it's 10 or 15%.... ping them a message as they are listed in the traders section

  19. Yep. I got money off mine.

  20. Just fitted the Dp rearsets, a pain to get the oem ones off if I'm honest
