Ducati 1199s Clutch

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Pip, Apr 28, 2017.

  1. Hi
I have just fitted a Ducabike cover/pressure plate and retainer plate; but I have a SOLID clutch lever! now ! Almost as though it's a hydraulic lock, and I've bled both lever and slave cylinder to no avail.
    Can anyone leap please.

  2. It's possibly the way you've fitted the pressure plate and it hasn't seated properly on the splines.
The triangular arrow on the pressure plate has to line up with the spring post that has a slot in it.
If you did that, then try just fiddling it about so it slides on to the splines.

  3. Thanks for that, I will give it a go. The pressure plate is standing proud by an 1/8" . I'll let you know.

  4. Sounds very likely that's your problem then.

  6. Thanks 'old rider'. Didn't see the Centre dots on post and plate. Once aligned all fell into place.
