The sight glass is a push fit in the case so I guess a slack fit is a genuine possibility. Have to say not seen that fault on any of the 8 Ducatis I've owned though. Andy
Yes, I had 796 that had a very slight weep of oil from the window. not enough to drip on the floor but just a slight weep. Never worsened, I just kept an eye on it. I've read in the post that such leaks often come from corrosion in the casing around the oil seal rather than a leak between the sight glass and the seal. But, yes, I've seen it before.
The glass on my multi cracked,i was lead to believe all the seals are the same part number and have been for years,they are fitted from the outside and are easy to replace.
