Yes, but at what level ? If you are at a constant speed then yes but if traffic is causing you to slow and accelerate a lot, as it often is, then it would make a difference.

That makes sense bradders, but as he said motorway, I assumed a constant speed. More power will always equal more tyre wear, but the one place this is not so, is a motorway surely ? He'd be better turning power down when riding a road with lots of points of acceleration, but if your gonna do that, just as well buy a less powerful bike.
