  2. So is there an update or not?

Mines in for a service on Wednesday. I'm intrigued to know.

  3. I guess, if a DVT has the new parts for the airbox not installed (2015, early 2016),
there is an update. Otherwise your bike is on current state.

  4. Probably depends what version it's on now. The update may have been mid last year so if a 2016 bike it may have been shipped with it

  5. There's been loads of ECU updates.

I bought my bike in Feb 2016 - so that's my baseline.
Went back for fork seal replacement in May 2016 - ECU updated and got a completely different bike back.
Went in for annual service in Feb 2017 - ECU updated again and got back a completely different yet again!

I spoke to Ducati Aylesbury on the subject of ECU updates and whilst they couldn't be 100% accurate on the sheer number of updates they surmised that there had likely been a dozen or more updates over that period, and over the 10000 miles I've covered since owning it my bum-dyno is telling me that there is no reason to doubt it.

  6. That road was on my commute when was working for Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 over in Brackley. Did it every day. Awesome road.

  7. @Pete1950 still on for around 1200 tomorrow? Meeting @MaDProFF on the way too at Chipping Norton. :)

  8. Yes @bradders . See you there.

  10. Hope you got home OK with that dodgy tyre @MaDProFF .

  11. @Pete1950 It did not seem any difference getting home, can just and only just see the wear marker :) but did get home thanks.

  12. 2015 1200S DVT, worth doing or not?

  13. Thanks for no replies !

  14. lol
if you read this thread it's obvious your question is impossible to answer

  15. Lol... I did read!

  16. So @Pete1950 @bradders what was the outcome of your comparison of 2015/2016 & 2017 models that you did the other Saturday?

  17. I politely declined a go in Pete's new bike, just in case it cost me money in new bits for mine ;) can say there didn't seem any difference in acceleration when following him. Next time I'll give it a go :)

  18. Thanks for the reply @bradders . Not sure I'd want ride someone else's new pride and joy either.

Given the latest maps and the improvement they give in the mid-rpm range, I'm not sure I'll bother doing the airbox upgrade.

  19. @bradders is a good rider and a quick rider, so I was not worried about him having a go on my "new pride and joy". I even set the seat to its lower setting, the better to suit his build. But since he politely chose to give it a miss, I wasn't going to insist.

  20. Fair enough. So @Pete1950 , what's your opinion of the performance of the 2017 model verses the 2015/2016 model? Have you noticed any other changes?
