No, but there is an obscure link to Oldsmobile. The 'Oldsmobile in my forum name came from about 20 years ago. I used to own an Oldsmobile Cutlass (my daily driver when I was 19!) I joined a forum in the states and when choosing a user name I thought "my name is Phil and I have an Oldsmobile" so Philoldsmobile was born. I used to think I was Eminem - I used to drive around with one arm hanging out the window, bright yellow hair and sporting a white t shirt and baggy blue jogging bottoms. The plan was to go Sportsman ET drag racing (street E.T. Back then) but it never came to fruition. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I walked up to a bloke in the pub last night and said, "My wife is due to give birth any day now." "That's great," he smiled, "What are you having?" "A pint of Guinness please."
Today, someone told me LGBT stood for - I always thought it was Lettuce, Bacon, Garlic and Tomato - like wot the you can buy sandwiches at Tesco's are.
Made the mistake last night of getting in after a nice ride home. Do you know what, I will go to that kids party tomorrow if you want. Not expecting a medal but at least acknowledge my huge personal sacrifice. I try to strike a balance between my selfish activities... She replied: That's good, because I told (friend) wife "B" you are, and her husband is going, we are meeting at our house first. Oh no it's happening to me, I'm being domesticated. Next she'll be sleeping with milk man because he's more exciting. Today I said: Is (friend) husband of wife "B" definitely going? why is he not staying at home blokes don't normally go? Wife said, I told wife "B" that you would go. I said: You know wife "C" husband will ask me if I want to go to the driving range to avoid it and I do need the practice. I just can't let the husband down of wife "B" if he is going because he thinks I am? Hint... Wife: no comment.... Looks like I am going then. Don't get me wrong I love my son. I don't even mind a couple kids, as long as they are quiet, walk slowly and keep the place tidy, but a room full of kids. I didn't think this through properly. I just don't find it the best way to unwind after a week of dealing with problems at work. I ride a bike with no rear seat for a reason. Oh well I hope the weather is good on Sunday.
160 miles, which is 16l of fuel for my multi, and met up with @Pete1950 and @MaDProFF for an impromptu min-multi-meet at Aylesbury. Saw the new cafe racer Scrambler, really nice looking bike, but 180 rear tyre?! And came back without the gopro camera mount that I left with this morning
Thanks. France this year, all the rear seats out and Mutley in the back, its not a camper so happy days.
Went to Ducati Manchester first thing to see/listen to a presentation about the logistics of our impending trip around Italy on the Panigale in the first week in June. Then I had to ride like the wind to get to my granddaughters 5th birthday party in north Leeds. Then rode home around 5pm and despite SWMBO having left in the car 10 mins before I left I still got back 25 mins before she did 140 mixed riding miles on the Scrambler Classic. Love it.
Is that the black/gold one? I quite liked the look of that. The desert sled is the only properly sized scrambler though.
