I use BT Yahoo for personal/family stuff, gmail as a back up to my work email, and hotmail for daft stuff or if I'm signing up for any websites etc
They reckon my account had been compromised/hacked (their words) and put a block on the account. And now I can't send emails for 48 hours and I needed to send a very important email this evening. It's just been a pain to sort and BT do their utmost to obfuscate. Twats.
I understand where you're coming from with that, however, if there has been some sort of hacking you're better off having it blocked rather than maybe losing personal/banking info etc. Could you not send it from another of your emails with a covering note explaining why it's not from your Yahoo account?
I get it, kylie only knows of your yahoo email account, and Danii you hotmail, so confusion would reign. tough work keeping them wenches in the dark, I feel for you young fella
My Yahoo account was hacked a couple of times this year, and with a little digging it turned out it was the mobile app i had on my phone which was the culprit, and well known, once i deleted the app and used a generic email app all has been fine. It turned out i had logged in from Mexico, panama, Russia and Spain all on the same day, but this was not flagged up as unusual behavior If anyone is running the yahoo app on their phones, it is not worth the hassle, delete it and use a generic one.
Those winkers at Yahoo have changed my Yahoo profile for some new fancypants version I never asked for or wanted?? Happened last night, assumed some sort of temp. version but no, google searches say a lot of people have been "upgraded"
