  3. Well, I have been thinking... First weekend next time home, the ankle biters are away and Module 2 should be a distant memory... So I was hoping we could make it across your way for a run out somewhere if any of you re available to meet us and show us around some of the roads your way on?

Saturday 10th June would be the best date for us...

  4. Saturday 10th June may be ok, but I may not have my Panigale back from Italy by then, but I could be out on the Scrambler though :)

  5. Sounds good to me :)

I'm happy to pencil it in the diary if your free and fancy it ;) Weather dependent obviously but should hopefully be fine once were in to June. I'm heading back to work on Tuesday again but we'll sort out finer details whilst I'm away if it looks like this may fly :D

    @bettes @rob lewis

Would be good to have a catch up also if your available?

  7. Goddamned T.WAT 3.1 & TPS 1.1 just popped back up. Didn't do owt either. If I could get ducatidiag to work that'd be nice. I think the old work laptop is fecked anyway and thats the likely culprit. Its doing odd things. Grrr.

  8. Perfect, same this end :)

As the ankle biters are away I may look at us riding up on the Friday evening and staying over somewhere once we have some plans in place for an itinerary, Mrs M will still be fairly new to it all (providing her test goes according to plan) so would probably be easier for her to ride up day before and the ride out for the day and home again on the Saturday :)

If her Mod 2 doesn't go according plan for any reason, I'll still come up obviously ;)

  9. @Ben Mallinson if you need any help with accommodation let me know (but I'm in Italy on the bike and probably incommunicado between 1st and 7th June). I would recommend The Old Bridge hotel in the centre of Holmfirth though :)

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  10. Your a gentleman El T ;) Thanks for the recommendation!

There's not much sorting out needed apart from that if we decide to go the accommodation route. I'll be in touch nearer the time to sort out the finer details for the day with you :D

  11. Note taken!

  12. Couple of days in the Cotswold's, lovely part of the world, 7 course dinner last night and a 5 course tonight, worked up an appetite with a 9 mile walk to Bourton on the water and back, few bikes about (dvt outside the chip shop) fantastic day and beautiful scenery, I'm in love with Cotswold stone houses @bradders, next time we're coming on the bike! :)

  15. I've been reducing a forsythia to a fraction of its former self, getting a BBQ on and then enjoying the view and, aware that I can't afford to go anywhere else, not really worrying about it. But I may have a 999 to pick up next week.

  16. Been to watch my mate for a weekend of No Limits Racing at Donington (twice !!)

He had a really good weekend finishing consistently in the top 20 and almost top 10, lapping in the 1:43s now knocking 4 seconds off his previous best - roll on Anglesey in a couple of weeks

    But why twice!
So here's the thing I was away crack of dawn and in the paddock for 7:45 SWMBO had been out with the lasses the night before and got in at some ungodly hour, I get the inevitable phone call at 11 ish
"Clive I think I've broke my foot I stepped in a grate last night and it's killing me I can't walk"
So you're now thinking Mr Chivalrous is gonna trundle all the way back to look after her poorly foot
"Am I fek, not gonna let a little thing like that spoil my weekend "put some frozen peas on it and rest it, it won't be broken" :) and settled in for more racing. 2 hours go by and it's warming up for the 6 hour endurance race, great been looking forward to this one, then comes phone call #2
"Clive you're gonna have to come home!"
    "Oh yeah!!"
"Yeah, there's water coming through the front room ceiling & pissing out of the light fitting, got buckets and towels down what should I do?"
"FFS turn power off, turn water off, do this do that ring insurance get emergency plumber I'm on my way fk fk fk"
The Sprinter stood up to its name and I was soon home, she wasn't kidding fk fk fk, it was now down to a slow trickle as I removed the ceiling fitting, time to investigate.
"What exactly did you see when I told you to look in the bathroom?"
"Water was shooting over the top of the sink it must have been coming up the waste pipe!"
    Mmmm me thinks not......
Mr emergency plumber turns up, I say nothing and let him diagnose it
"Nought wrong with the taps" he says "mmmmm" says I
"What do you think" he says "mmmmm" says I
"Do you think she left the tap running" he says "mmmmm nought no surer" says I
Which pretty much sums it up, not that she's ever gonna admit that one !!
So water back on, socket power back on keep the lighting power off and we'll see what it's like when it's all dried out !
"Are you gonna go back to Donny now, you might as well"
Absobloody lutely I am - whoosh back down the M1- and I made it in time for the last 15 minutes of the endurance race ! Fk fk fk
Ah well a few bevvies in the bar and a good laugh later and all was well :)

Week after next I'll be on the balcony at the Creg and I certainly won't be shooting back from there foot or flood :)

  17. Truck with the bikes arrived back from Spain today so up at 5:30, attach the trailer to the car and scoot into Wokingham for 6:30. I'm the first to arrive, pallet conveniently placed next to my car, kit in the back, bikes on the trailer and tied down and back home by 7:30. Bikes unloaded and back in the garage and now just got to put the kit away. Want to go back to bed but expecting a pair of refurbished M4s to be delivered by Parcelforce and our tickets for Catalunya are being delivered by courier sometime today. Anyway feet up on the sofa, a cup of coffee (or 2) and chill, still bolloxed from the excesses of Almeria last week. Andy

  19. I've just applied to take part in an adult movie.

The advert says that male applicants must be bigger than 7 inches.

    I should be fine - I'm 5ft 11.
