*** MotoGP Season Opener: Qatar (Spoilers) ***

  1. Is that if Rossi takes Casey out and jumps on the Honda? You forgot to mention that bit  Bwah ha ha ha

Derek's a good egg - quite funny when he gets going, to my mind anyway ...

    Mmmmm, beeeeer ...

  2. Oh and:

    Stoner
    Lorenzo
    Pedrosa

That's also my prediction for the championship ...

  3. Haha, it's ok. I've got my helmet on here at work

  4. Threads merged.

    Rob.

  5. Live first practice coverage on Eurosport 5:45pm today

  6. Just got in from work and saw that VR was 10th
But just had a look on twitter and the usual motogp experts and Briggs (VR mechanic)
Stated NH was out on the softest tyre trying settings and VR out on the Hard trying settings. (which bridgestone predict the hard rear tyre will be needed for the race)
    We will see tomoz.

  7. But 10th?

  8. Nope, Thats when Stoner burns his rear tyre out and slows and riders pass him just like what happened to sykes in wsb.
    :upyeah:
The tyres are really a unknown as no one has used them in anger yet.
Last years tyre suited Stoners style and no one else tbh.

Oh I see he's talked about the soft feel to the bike because of the tyres!

  9. Yep 10th FFS, Do you follow any on twitter ?

  10. It's not good. Hayden's position is only superficially encouraging - as Imola says, he was on a soft.

  11. I guess we'll find out in the race! Casey's having chatter problems and leading the timesheet... but it's only first practice. The track is yet to rubber in and they'll all go quicker, probably by a second or so. Then they'll uncover new problems etc.

How is it Hayden isn't complaining about understeering like Rossi? How is it Hayden isn't complaining all the time like Rossi?

Oh and there's nothing wrong with running the soft race tyre, if you can make it last in the race. If there's advantages in running a different tyre to the others then go for it, it's up to the rider to make it work.

  12. I did at one point but I find this far more amusing ;)

So......let me just get my head round this.......10th?

  13. It's interesting that. They obviously run very different setups. VR complains about a vague front and not turning in right; NH says it's the best Duc he's ever ridden and his problem is rear grip and drive off the corners.

  14. FP2 *Spoiler*

    Big progress. Not.

  20. Crutchlow: "Everyone thinks Valentino is sandbagging or not got the setup; It looks to me like he's working for the end of the race."

Crutchlow on new tires: "If you put Lorenzo on my bike, he'd go no slower than he's going. But, it'll bring closer racing, more passing."
