Christmas music pisses me off full stop... perhaps if they played it in a frequency only children could hear??
i think a glass of mulled wine makes my christmas, a bit of shopping, lights and music makes it all worthwhile, besides, a week off work aint too bad either
Absolutely. I suppose it's different with kids, but in my family there are only two teenagers, so christmas is about getting together for a good meal and an afternoon nattering/snoozing/filling faces. And booze, obviously. We spend no more than £10/20 on presents - the get-together is far more important.
We have a goose, very nice, a bit fatty, but you save some for use later. My Gran told me that, just before Grandad died, she used to rub goose-grease on his back. She said after that, he went downhill fast.
I love goose but very expensive Last 9 years i have had a turkey from work (home grown at work) but there was a Terrible Turkey Episode last year and I don't think we're getting one this year now - Turkey Rustling is frowned on plus theyre strong buggers I might roast the cat
Bloody works do tonight as well - have to spend my weekday 9-5's with these morons - why the feck do they think I want to go out once a year and get pissed with them ffs but it's 'expected' As it starts straight after work - It's also expected ill throw up before 9 and be home in bed by 10

You know that horrible mosquito noises they play at a certain frequency to deter teenagers congregating in certain places .... I can hear that ! When adults talk to me I struggle to hear I can hear cat scarers as well....
Mac so sorry to hear. I went through this ... make sure you make him feel extra loved , say everything you want to say .. And the great impact he had in your life. also precious times together. dont hold back if he knows. My Grandad did not know he was dying... my family refused to believe it. the nurses told me. i know now he was put on that pathway hospital thing but I was not told this or I would have stepped in! just make sure the time you have left is extra special . make his last Christmas his best thinking of you in this sad time ..

Im glad i started this christmas vent thread now.... today i was in the car and switched the radio on...the nano second i heard the lyric "and the snowman", i knew it was those c*nts, Wizard so i snapped the radio off sharpish..it actually makes me irrationaly angry when i hear certain christmas songs...slade, wizard, all that shite..and i dont know about you, but when i hear the others (not cashing in on christmas ones but the ones that have been around for years), i usually find that i start to feel really low..i dont know why, but they really get me down...hence i fucking hate going out at christmas, and just simply hate christmas full stop.
