Sounds like it is Jack Hills on the A5.. just off the A43 roundabout with the Shell Garage, near-ish Silverstone.

I am riding more this year and the bike is fast approaching needing valve clearance checks depending on... would be good to ride up

yeah jack hills.. It's not too far a ride if ya with mates. Almost exactly 150 miles door to door from mine. Your a lil bit closer. And ya can hang and eat for a good few hrs in between rides

Well I better keep my bike for another month then or I could lowering the standards by riding a KTM

normally leave mine about 9.30/10 so would be heading past on ya bike 40mins later. But im flexible ( not physically...don't get excited @Rebel)

According to google maps it's about 40mins at speed limit to on Yer bike from Jack Hills? (various routes).
I thought it took longer than that? maybe not, bad memory.

 

40 mins sounds about right, on ya bike is about 15-20 I guess from the a43 the way i know ( pick up m40 for one junction).

Ohh and Chiz take a look at this , similar route to the one we took , keeps you off the motorway but is a bit longer !
Just so that you don't take any wrong exits at any islands
