Must be set up for two f'ing Elephants! First thing, wind the big nut up on the rear shock almost to the top , 2-3 threads showing. This makes a massive difference to start with! Suspension expert me...:biggrin:
Well the pillion must be an elephant. I was told from the box they're set up for about a 20st pillion. The frigggin bike would flip with that on the back! Matt
I used to live about 4 miles from them and never twigged. Spent the whole afternoon slagging myself off. Oh well, book it in and it's an excuse to go back home and go out for a ride! Matt
TBH I didn't either... Till when the bike was set up i asked a million and one questions, and learned all sorts n forgot half of it cause the guy was sooo in-depth will all his explanations.
Not many suspension experts recommend progressive springs. I think it's easier for them to set a bike up with linear springs as they have a known working rate.
That's exactly what I was advised, but rather just buy a linear spring and set-up, I bought a used Ohlins, which was miles better right away after just setting the sag, but as was mentioned earlier I was curious if it could be better, and had it set up properly. Which was probably one of the best things I did, after spending the money on it. Anth
I have raced and seen many a thread about progressive v linear etc Suspension experts love road riders to spend their cash on parts and stuff.. jmho. You will be hard pressed to notice the difference between a good quality pro fork spring to a linear fork spring on the road.
I would guess they would do, it's easy money for them really.....:frown: I've not got the front end....yet. Just set the sag n that's about all.
