Hi, here is my.... 2000 W Subaru Impreza 2.0i Sport 4WD, with WRX bits - Non turbo EJ20 It looks, drives and sounds the same as a WRX....but not as fast though! Silver, good runner, brand new clutch, mot'd till June 2013 and tax expired end of Nov, now SORN. 85k on the clocks and some history, previous MOT etc 16" WRX Alloys with good tyres all round, Full WRX bodykit inc huge aftermarket boot spoiler, WRX suede sports seats front & rear, good bolsters, no tears Cone Induction kit and cat back stainless system exhaust fitted, sounds good, not too loud. New Cat fitted for last MOT. Sony CD Player, power steering, electric windows & mirrors, twin airbags etc Gearbox oil and diff oil will be changed this weekend. I have a replacement rear door to fit as the one fitted is dented, same colour of course... It looks really good in the pics, I would call it clean rather than mint though. Its really fun to drive but with cheaper insurance and better fuel economy! Everything works as it should inc all electrics, drives really well and good for the snow as its permanent 4 wheel drive! The only rust on the body is the small blister on one rear arch (see pics), underside looks pretty solid too. Looking for £895 ono, new clutch, drives really well and MOT'd till June 2013. Test drive welcomed. Located in SCUNTHORPE, 50mls east of Leeds, 30 mls north of Lincoln. Matt o7841 261 034
My other half is now on his 4th Impreza (current one is a P1). When the weather is as cold, wet and filthy as we've had the last few weeks, there's nothing we'd rather be driving. An Impreza handles like it's on rails and is really not fazed by wet and slippery conditions. Good luck with the sale - have you also tried advertising it on Scoobynet?
I can't comment on the non turbo models but if they are anything like the Turbo ones you will soon be on first names terms with the guy behind the counter at your local petrol station.
I have had a estate non-Turbo, did around 30k in it over a year, but I could get 35-40 on runs, 25-30 around town depending on how you drive it. No worse than a regular 2.0 petrol sports car IMO.
Ohh, sorry, decent Semi synthetic oil every year and parts are well priced, no more expensive than other brands. Oil, Oil filter, air filter and plugs less than £50 from a motor factor and easy to work on because of the flat 4 boxer engine. The EJ20 engines are strong engines and transmissions get an easier time on the non turbos too.
Thanks for the comment Hugh, yes they have been changed too (I have a trade account y'see) Car now sold, deposit taken , tidy!
