  15. After that horrid final trip to the vet with our previous cat Jasmine a month ago (2 weeks short of her 19th birthday), it didn't take long before we decided the house was too quiet and predictable and that there was a cat shaped hole that needed filling.

So yesterday we headed to the Oxfordshire RSPCA to pick up 11 month old Rocky (tabby & white) and his brother Sebastian (various shades of cream and brown - like the swirls in the froth on the top of a cappuccino - with gorgeous blue eyes).

Sebastian miaowed for a good hour on the way home, but seems the more reserved character at the moment. I suspect after a couple of weeks when they're allowed out, he'll be the explorer - he has spent more time looking out the window and was inspecting the flue of the gas fire earlier as a possible escape route. Rocky is more energetic, curious and playful so far (and more easily bribed with Dreamies). Both were quite interested in my porridge this morning.

  16. I feel your pain. When we lost the last of our three Maine Coons we said never again (the pain).
But a few months later.... one more Silver tabby, followed by the terrible twins below.
It's not our fault we live 3-4 times longer than them.... Hounslow-20120930-00247.jpg

The same Silver boy on the left as per the picture with his sister, top picture.
