My Desmo has the GP7 exhaust fitted, the kit comes with a modified belly pan and tail unit for the exhausts that exit the belly pan and out of the rear of the bike. I've always thought the tail unit looks unfinished, with a plain white numberbaord on it. The one on the standard Desmosedici Rosso version and the tail unit of my 1098R are pin striped and look better to my eye. I've fancied doing something with it for a while, but have just got around to it. So, a guy I used to work with, left a few years back and set up his own body repair / paintshop. I asked him to put a plain black pinstripe around the number board and add the "Desmosedici RR" decals from the Rosso version of the Desmo. These by the way cost £14 each from the dealer. I got some discount on this, but they should have a bloody mask on, asking that price! He's come up trumps and I'm pleased with the end result. Pinstriped, decals added and a couple of coats of 2K clearcoat. If anybody needs any work done, you could do worse than looking them up. He's a spot on lad and turns out great work. God damn, I never thought about that. Bugger! I'll throw the GP7 exhaust kit away and put the standard parts back on it tomorrow. Thanks for the advice, that was a lucky escape.
Are you blind Mr. Magoo? Bottom pic, through the gap in the garden gate, you can clearly see my rubbish, recycling and garden waste bins.
Looks fantastic Rob, the small details make all the difference i think. The second to last picture reminds me of when i used to drink, could often not get my door key out in time either
Looks really good, plus one on getting the front panels done. Makes it look more modern I reckon. Beautiful bike.
The front panels are like that as standard. They are a slightly thinner stripe, so maybe why they don't show as much.
Nah, black. Unless, like the scene in Father Ted when Ted talks about priest's socks being truly black, not like normal black socks, which are "very, very, very, very, very dark blue".
Bastards... Parked outside your own house for just a few mins and a traffic warden has slapped a ticket on yer... At least they had the sense not to put it on your luvly ( looks great mte) paintwork and chose to stick it on your front tyre instead!
