Bike only just done 1200 miles and on today's ride spotted seeping from engine and it seems to be below cylinder head??? Got home and oil now at minimum level? Raging as bike just serviced at about 500 mile? Is this common or do I have a bigger issue? It's a Multistrada enduro
Don't think oil seeping from below the cylinder is normal, unless Ducati have come up with a new anti rust mechanism ?
Dealer changed my oil and cleaned the screen. It leaks from screen now. It's near the drain plug and held with four screws and sealant. A few years ago my wife's monster leaked from cylinder base gasket as many did. Ducati repaired it. Good luck.
I had an issue on my bike that was only found at it's first major service, now I know the DVT might be difrent but on my twin spark one of the cam shaft seals on the front head had popped out and was letting oil out into the belt hosing, it was running down inside and leaking from the lowest point, got it fixed under warranty.
I remember that a small weep from rocker cover being reported several times from new. It was as though whole cover needed a re-torque to settle the gasket(s).
I had this problem with my 2015 DVT. Noticed ia minor oil weep after riding it home from the showroom. One bothched attempt by the dealer to fix it turned it into an oil leak. It was only sorted by a complete new cylinder head. This was a brand new bike by the way. Hope your problem isn't the same but thought my experience might help! Good luck!
Mine didn't have a leak but did drink oil for the first 2000 miles.. now seems to be OK.. normal oil use.
